Nespresso Aeroccino Plus is an updated version of the excellent . The new version includes the ability to not only make a perfect hot milk froth but also a surprisingly stiff cold one. It also improves upon one minor flaw in the original Nespresso Aeroccino by removing the occasional occurence of burnt milk at the bottom of the frother. It also improves upon the original by allowing you to immerse the unit in water, therefore making it significantly easier to wash.
Overall the Nespresso Aeroccino is a significant improvement over the original. I am often a little suspicious of product sequels as they frequently include only minor improvements and appear to have been designed solely to encourage the original purchasers to buy a new product. The Nespresso Aeroccino Plus on the other hand includes not only the above mentioned improvements but also a significantly larger kettle, a number of new frothing options and also a far more durable design.
Now all of these improvements would mean very little had they compromised on the original qualities of silence, speed and simplicity but all three remain. The Nespresso Aeroccino Plus remains just as silent as the original when frothing milk and it still does so in under a minute.
And despite the addition of new and improved milk frothing settings, the process of using the Nespresso Aeroccino Plus to froth milk remains a simple three step process. Just add your milk, press the button and then add the resulting froth to your coffee.
Of course the final question that should always be asked when an updated version of a product comes out is should you replace the original and if I’m honest, I have to say no. There are significant improvements, this cannot be denied and therefore if you are planning on purchasing a Nespresso Aeroccino for the first time, you would be a fool not to spend a few extra pounds and get the latest one. If on the other hand, you are already a satisfied owner of the original Nespresso Aeroccino, I struggle to see the value for money in purchasing a second one.
